Rock Fish are the Easiest to Catch

Sometime in October of last year, I was introduced to the Happy Planner. It is put out by a company called Me and My Big Ideas (MAMBI). The planners come somewhat blank and you get to decorate them with all kinds of stuff like washi tape, stamps, stickers and such. Washi tape, oh washi tape. If you don’t know what washi tape is, look it up NOW! You're welcome. I have always wanted to keep a planner but, if you know me, you know I'm a fickle one. I had never found one that had enough of what I wanted in a planner to keep up with it. It takes a lot to motivate me, clearly. I like the Erin Condren planners but I’m way too cheap for that noise. I’m not knocking them. I still really like them. I just don’t like them enough to spend $50 on one. So when my new friend (Becky) introduced me to the Happy Planner, I was in heaven. At the time, I believe they were $25 at Michaels or Hobby Lobby and both always have 40% off coupons. Um, yes please!

I did an OK job at using my planner when I was at my last job, but I have gotten so much better now that I’m staying home. I discovered Zone Cleaning and it’s really helped me to keep up with things around the house so far. It’s only been a week and a half folks. So, I can’t say it’s magic, but I will tell you that it’s helped me more than any other method I’ve tried so far.

There are/will continue to be challenges with being a SAHM. Sometimes my kids drive me nuts. My three-year-old thinks she’s 16, only with more attitude than a 16 year old. Yeah… go a head and try and picture living with that. :) Anyone want to borrow her for a week or so? J Hayden want’s to be held and down on the ground by himself at the same time. Makes perfect sense… And, I’ve had to have toys and rocks fished out of the pool twice, but it’s all worth it to be with my babies and to feel generally good about life. I mean, Kyle and I took on the front yard on Saturday. Anyone who has been to my house knows, but if you haven’t… The outside of my house borders on vacancy. I mean, if there weren’t cars regularly coming and going, you’d probably wonder if anyone actually lived here. I was pretty freaking proud of our overweight, out of shape bodies for doing as much as we did!
